Walk Run Walk

We had a sleeper till 4. That's pretty good. Of course now, I can't sleep and she is sound asleep... go figure. What the day brings. Well this week I got sign off from the doc, that I can "RESUME" exercise. Hahaha... that means I had to have been exercising before this whole pregnancy thing... =) With my new bill of health, I set out on an adventure this week. I loaded the car first thing Thursday morning with the baby and the dog and headed to the beach. There we set out on a walk. Its amazing how many people don't work, or are out exercising at 9 during the week. Anywho, we were walking pretty fast along the cliffs when... wait, let me back up just a little.

About three weeks ago, Craig and I were curious as to if and when we can jog with Syd. Her stoller is a jogger as well. Anyone that knows Craig, knows that he's not so good at figuring things like this out. Well so I tell him to read the manual to the stroller and it should say something. He reads it and it says, according to him, that we can't run with her till she is 6 months. I didn't think much of it when he said that. Then a couple weeks ago, he was running at the beach and ran into a friend of ours with a 4 month old walking. He talks to her and somehow he mentions how we're not supposed to run with the baby till 6 months. She says, no you can run with them now. He of course doesn't ask her anything about it, and comes home to me and says... "Ceci says that we can run with Sydney now... I'm not sure how she does it or whatever, maybe I should call Kevin." I again was listening, but wasn't really thinking about it.

Okay, so back to the story, I'm walking with Syd and the dog along the ocean and I see a girl with a similar stroller and an infant seat running along there. It is not till now that I think about all the things my husband has been saying. Of course I then realize that he probably read the actual jogger shouldn't be used till the baby is 6 months, which makes sense. He wasn't thinking about the fact that currently she's strapped into a car seat which is hooked into the jogger. Doh! Anyways it is at this point that I think, I should start running. I got sign off from the doctor on Tuesday, why not. So I start to run. I have Caddie pulling on one side, I have the stroller in the other hand and I'm running... HOLY MOLY. I didn't go too far, maybe a couple hundred yards or something... hahaha... I just said that like I know how much 100 yards is. I'm the worst a lengths. You know when you're giving directions and people ask how long you are on one road till you turn onto another... I HAVE NO IDEA. Craig is really good and can say... go about 3 mile and then you'll take a right. I'm like... look for this land mark down the way. hahaha...

Anyways, long story short I ran and sweat and it felt pretty damn funny. I then went again on Friday and ran for longer. I went again today, but this time Amanda and I just walked.

So I hate when you have a thousand things to think about at 5 in the morning. Its actually 5:30 now, but I'm totally not going back to bed soon. I have to do her announcements. I have to find a day care, which is really starting to weigh on me. I will have to have a full posting on that experience, but not right now... its too depressing. Oh, high chairs... i haven't gotten one, but I have a few months till she's using it. I've been trying to research them and hoping that when I get my next coupon for 15% off, I'll buy it then. Well I was over at Amanda's today looking at how she is decorating the baby's room and she already had her high chair and put together. Silly... I should not worry about stupid stuff... I don't even need it yet. Okay, I'm going to do some more searching for announcements. Wish me luck. We get Syd's newborn pics today from the photographer. I'm so excited. Okay, I'll post some more pics... I have so many cutes ones.

Happy thing that happened today... Craig let me nap this afternoon for 2 hours... AMAZING

Fun thing that happened today... I boxed Adam on the Wii. He beat me, but I think its because I'm short it wasn't picking up my movements.

Okay, I'm off to find an announcement... Ciao for now!

Sleep what?

Hello~ So it has been a while, I know. Life has changed over the last 7 weeks, and well even before that. Our family has grown by 2 feet... Literally. Our baby girl Sydney Adele Ward was born approximately 7 and a half weeks ago. She is an angel. First thing I noticed about her, is how beautiful she is. She is our miracle baby in more ways then one. It is amazing being at home with her the past 7 weeks. I've loved every minute. It is nothing as I imagined and everything I could have hoped for. My only wish would be that the weather gets warmer over the next 5 weeks. I love taking her out for walks, but the weather has been so wet and cold that I haven't had enough of that.
What else? Craig and I are obsessed with taking pictures of her. It rather embarrassing, but we've taken an obscene amount of her. Every face she makes we think its the cutest thing in the world, so we capture it. Now I need to work on printing all these pics. One thing I have is a ton of pictures of everyone that came to visit her in the weeks after her arrival. So I'm thinking that I may print from Kodak.com one of those fun collages for her. Her first 24 hours alone she had about 15 visitors. She is a loved little girl, that is for sure. In terms of sleep, she is actually doing pretty good. She just went 5 hours between feedings, which was great. Now if she can go another 5, I would have only had to wake up once in the night. Of course now she and Craig are asleep and I can't sleep. Go figure =)
So the next thing I have to try and work on is getting time away from her. Nothing too crazy, but I think its probably healthy if I have a little sanity time too. This afternoon I realized that in the last 7 weeks I've only been away from her three times. The first was a few hours to have dinner with Amanda and Jen. The second was when Steph and Marco watched her while Craig and I had an early Valentines dinner, and the third was tonight when I went and got a pedicure. I love that the color of my toes is "Belize it or not" hahahaha.
Okay, I'm totally delirious and need to get some sleep, but I want to make sure there are ample amount of pictures her of our new addition. I'm in love!
That is it for now. Keep on keepin it on!
