Happy 6 months Sydney!!!

And the saga continues... So the day care is out of town the first two days of the week because of some volleyball tournament for her daughter. Sister says she can watch Syd... so thankful! After the action packed weekend and the lack of sleep I truck miss Syd up to Oceanside. Drop her off and am late to work... Anyone that knows my week, knows that Mondays are the craziest! So coming in late, just adds to the madness. I go through the day SUPER tired from the weekend and realize I need to post the ad for the condo rental. I do it around 1 or 2, and immediately start getting responses. AWESOME! Notes reading, when can I see it. Others asking if she can have her two dogs both something like 95 pounds... UMMM... probably not. Anywho, one woman asks if she could see it tonight. Any time after 5 I say... Great, let's say 5:45 just to be safe!

My bad... its 4:30 and I'm almost finished with a write up in my email... shooot, I have to finish this. I'm hurrying, and get out of there around 4:45. I immediately go into a panic realizing I have to go all the way up to Oceanside to get Syd and then get back to La Costa at 5:45. I'm in the car, forgot the woman's number and decide I can try and make it. Get up to the freeway by my sisters and am stuck. TRAFFIC???? REALLY??? I hysterically call Craig and ask him to get into my email to get the girls number and call her and tell her its going to be more like 6. I'm even thinking 6;30, but go with 6. So here I am driving like a bat out of you know where through the streets trying to get to Syd, I'm late and so tired. I get into my sister's house and she tells me that Sydney has a fever and that she gave her Tylenol. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? A.) I've never given her Tylenol, so I was a little shocked. But more importantly my little Syd has a fever. So I sort of frantically tell sister thank you for taking care of her and I will let her know how it goes, and then I'm off. I get down the street and call Craig to tell him about Syd. She's never had a fever before. I wonder what its from. Well as if my day could not get any more hectic, I still have to meet this woman, and Craig only left a message, so who knows if she got it. I'm driving and then DING, my gas light goes on... REALLY?? REALLY??? Right now? Yep, I had only enough gas to get 22 miles. So I have a freak out moment and then calm down and stop at the nearest gas station. Fill it up, and then am off. I'm pulling up the street of the condo and I get a call from the girl! She's outside. I tell her how I'm there and will be there in a minute. I get Syd out of the car. Not sure I should be showing the condo with Syd, but whatever. Get up to teh door and she's holding her phone and says... I just got Craig's message. OH WELL. I let her in, she walks through once... tells me how great the view is and then shakes my hand and leaves... I KNEW IT. I was rushing around for a LOOKY LOU!!!
Sydney continued wiht the fever all night and into this morning. I stayed home for the first half of the day and Craig came home for the second. I'm exhausted still because she didn't sleep very well. I head to work... and realize its my boss' birthday and i'm in charge of the cake... REALLY?? TODAY? So I turn around and head to the store. I get a single layer cake and am on my way. The day was less than par, but its over. We went took Syd to the doctor's this afternoon and he thinks its just a viral infection. Let's hope so. She's been sleeping all day, so hopefully she'll sleep tonight!!

Today was my little girl's 6 month birthday! We gave her applesauce for the first time and made a hat out of a coffee filter. Even though she was fighting a fever, she did pretty good. Oh, and apparently I was crazy to start with asparagus. I think I'm going to try something a little tamer next time. I'll let you know! So long for now. I have to help the hubs with the pool cover and then to bed. Tootles!
