Go Bruins

Off to a great day. We're getting ready for our trip to Yosemite next week and headed up to Pasadena this afternoon for the Bruin vs. Kansas State game! Should be a lot of fun!!! Can't wait! I just hope Miss Syd can make it to a hour or two of the game. My hope is that she'll sleep on the way up!! YAY!

Big Girl Weekend

Its been a big week for the Wards. Mostly for the smallest Ward! We moved into a big girl car seat this weekend. I can't believe it. This is a really big step for us. Because not only now does she not get carried into places now in her car seat, it means she has to sit in high chairs and grocery carts now. Truth be told, its hit me pretty hard. She is just growing so fast that I'm having a hard time treasuring every moment.

We also bought her highchair this weekend. She's sitting in it now like a big girl. She's really tiny in it, but she's a big girl. And, she's now talking up a storm. Sometimes its a little loud...teheheheh. Okay, a lot loud. She clearly didn't get it from the Ward side of the family... ooops =) But so Auntie Amanda got a good taste of what I've been talking about at the restaurant last night. During a couple points I was giving her the napkin to chew on in order to lessen the "Loudness" But don't you worry it didn't' stop my peanut! =) So now she's in the big girl car seat, she's sitting in high chairs on her own, she's sitting in grocery carts, and then she went and skipped the 6-9 month clothes. I'm pretty sure she had a crazy growth spurt. She has been following the sizes pretty close up until this point. She was in 0-3 months until 3 months, and then in the 3-6 until about 6 months and then from 6-7 she wore the 6-9 maybe once and then its off to 12 month clothes. Crazy!

I'm definitely having a hard time with this growing big thing.

But so Craig and I decided yesterday that we would start getting up early so that we can get ready for work early and then when she wakes up about 6:15-6:30 we could spend time with her going for a walk, going to breakfast, etc. So we set the alarm early this morning and are just about to get into the shower, when what do we hear? Little wake up whimpers. WHAT???? She's on to us. That little girl knew we were trying to get ready early.

That is pretty much why I have time to write this morning. Because we hurried to get showered and ready and were playing with her on the bed and then she was yawning and now she's asleep and we're up and ready to go. Life definitely doesn't go as you plan it.

We just got word from my Aunt and Uncle that they are free next weekend. So we'll be heading up to Stevenson's Ranch for some fun family time. We're all really excited. Okay, I've got to really get ready to head off to work. Here are some more recent pics. Enjoy.

Strawberry Summer

Back to the grind... After 7 days off, it has been tough getting back to the grind. Jammy went home today, which was sad. I realized how much we miss her and how good it is having her around. We had a really really good visit this time. It was two weeks, but only seemed like a few days. I really hope she sells her house soon and can move here permanently. That would be fantastic! As for everything else. Miss Syd is doing great. She is definitely on the mend. I've been waiting on the stitches before starting any vitamin E or anything, but I'm think I'll put some on tomorrow.
I do have one amazing little girl. Today was good day. We have finally been able to get back to normalcy. We don't have to rush home to turn around and rush to the condo to show it. We don't have to rush home and rush off to meet the family or anything. Today we got home and Syd and I went for a good long walk around the neighborhood. She discovered that her voice echos inside the stroller, so she was talking loud through the streets. I love hearing her trying to talk. It is amazing. We we got back we were on the carpet playing with some different toys and I sat her in front of me on the carpet with the stacking donuts in front of her. I put the donuts on and she figured out how to pull them off, one by one. She is learning so much each day. I feel like we can't read to her enough, we can't teach her enough. But we continue to read to her, show her all kinds of things. I DEFINITELY know now, what they mean by little sponges. Its AMAZING!
So we're gearing up for Kate and Mike's wedding this weekend. I can't believe how fast it is approaching. Time is flying by. Speaking of time flying by, I noticed today that that strawberry fields are already torn up. Just dirt! ALREADY??? I can't believe it. I thought strawberries are a summer fruit... what the heck?
Tonight was great getting in the pool and swimming with my hubs. I can't wait till Syd can get in again with us. Too bad jumping in the spa afterwards is making me sleepy. I'm off to bed. Good Moon! I love you sweet pea!
ciao for now!
Pic after Surgery. Our boxer. =)

Bandages off... HI FIVE EVERYONE!

Moving Foward

Today is a day for the record books. So much good news to share. First and foremost, my daughter got her bandages off today. She looks amazing and is feeling amazing. It is the most incredible feeling knowing that we are able to FINALLY move forward after that CRAZY ordeal. I can't really say that we are forever done with it, because some day our grandchildren may have a 50/50 chance of having the same thing, but for now, we are moving forward with an incredibly strong, smart, beautiful girl!
Second, today we received our deposit and first month's rent from our new renter. Might sound silly, but after the most NIGHTMARE renter situation over the last year, we finally got our first money towards that stupid condo in a VERY long time. Granted we're still suing that stupid lady for the insane amount of money she owes us, but we are FINALLY able to move forward with a respectable renter. Thank goodness!
Last, and its not for us, but we just got news that our friends just had their baby boy. Welcome to the world Sawyer!
Ok, I just had the most hectic day ever and so I'm off to hang out with mom and hubs to watch a movie and veg and listen to my baby girl sleeping through the monitor.
I thank God every day for blessing me with such a wonderful husband, daughter, family and friends.
P.S. I know some are probably curious what Miss Syd looks like now. I'll post some pics of her when she was all bandaged up looking like a boxer and a few of her new hands and feet. Its AMAZING!!!
Ciao bella!
